Any ideas on upcoming rebates for the HHR in the next couple of months?

I may be ordering a Silverstone HHR with auto, ebony interior, running boards and fogs....not sure if the price quoted was with chrome package but that isn't that big a deal

This is what was relayed to me:

The 2007 Chevrolet HHR LT equipped as requested would have an MSRP of $19,155. If ordering the vehicle any rebates would apply when you pick up the vehicle. Not when ordering. This HHR could be purchase for $18,404 and wait and see what incentives are in place when it arrives. If the vehicle is available now we know that there is a $1500 rebate for the HHR LT or finance rates as low as 4.9%. In addition there is a $500 trade assistance rebate if you are trading a 1999 or newer vehicle. Let me know what works best for you.

So is it just sort of crap shoot and cross your fingers and hope a decent rebate comes out in May or June? More than likely if I order 1 it won't be in until June? How many weeks is it?

I haven't really follwed GM rebates in the past...wondering if they get better or stay the same in the late spring early summer?

I'm in the same boat with you. I ordered my HHR when they had the March Madness deals going on. I was told is should take 4 to 6 weeks. I'm still waiting on my Premier Edition.

Right now we are still too far away from the model year clearance events, but if you order one that would arrive in June, you might just hit the beginning of the clearance.

That sounds like the same rebates they have been running off and on for the HHR. Only other has been when they have done 0%

I would guess it is a roll of the dice right now

My sales consultant has informed me that the next incentive program will be around May 18th, which is about the same time my HHR is due to be delivered to the dealer. So, I will have a choice of picking from what ever program is to my advantage.

Can you clarify what you mean by picking whatever program is to your advantage? It sounds like you have to take whatever incentive is in place at time of delivery

Sorry Goose, the date for the new incentive plan is suppose to be May 23.
My HHR is due to be delivered to the dealer by May 18th.
If my HHR arrives between those 2 dates, we will know what plan is better for me. Yes, it might have to sit on the dealer lot a few days, or if it gets here after may 23rd I would be forced to take whatever the new incentives are. My guess is that the incentive will be equivilant to what is out now or possibly the 0% financing option again.
