Anyone have these issues?

Issue #1 -

8164 miles. My HHR has developed a brake squeek. Intermittent. Dealer was able to replicate and is putting on new pads. Chevrolet also says they need to replace the discs.....

Issue #2 -

After waiting a long time for a replacement module for my Personal Audio Link (PAL) my new one is now starting to have some issues. Wondered if anyone with a newer PAL was experiencing issues.

Thanks

The brake issue is most likley a lose pad. Squeeks are from the pad viberating in the caliper. That is why they have pads ands other things that go under the pad to dampen the pad and stop the noise.

As long as your pads are not worn out the noise is more annoying than anything.

This happens from time to time on disc pads and is easy to fix.

if the pal keeps on messing up talk to them about replacing your radio with a newer hhr radio with the USB port. It'd come out from the front, but better then the pal in my opinion

That would be nice but it won't happen. They only replace with the exact same radio.

I had this same issue in my Sebring unfortunately. They heard the squeek (it occured at 10000 miles) - and determined it was coming form both the rear and front. Completely new brakes all the way around. Dealer says this is common - didn't have any answer for me on the PAL.

Dealer is keeping it through the weekend so that they can put it back together when they get parts. Have Mom's Maxima SE and a friends T-Bird at my disposal. Darn.

Has anyone conformed that an 09 radio with usb will work in a 08 without doing a bcm upgrade. I know the dealer would more than likely have to unlock but if that was it I could handle that
