I think my favorite mod that I just recently added has to be this. Cost me $0...was a gift from fellow HHR owner...but I believe he paid about $10 or so for it.

My other small mods have already been listed here, but there is a bunch of small cosmetic things available for the HHR to make it your own without spending a lot of money. The only limit is your imagination.
