Brake and blinker light problem.
Hello All.
I had my driver side blinker light put in a couple weeks ago and now that and my brake light are out. I replace the brake light this summer.
What are easy things that even a car idiot could check. My car guy is checking it on Thursday but I would like to see if it's expensive or not.
All other lights are fine.
Thanks for all your help, I appreciate it.

You can also inspect the fuses push them all into place firmly, here’s a map of what fuse is where

The brake light is the same as the turn light, the same filament. If one is out so is the other, or a switch is bad.
If it was a bad ground the tail light would also be out, they all share the same ground.t
The 3 functions are in the same bulb, the brake and turn are one filament and the tail light is the other.
Did you replace the bulb or did somebody else? Did whoever look at the contacts in the receptacle? Was the bulb firmly seated? Was there corrosion on them?
Do you know that DRL is head lights only, no tail lights?
