Buy a car, change your life!
I was washing my car this morning when I saw this black beauty on a local used car lot next door:
"Buy me!" it seems to say. It made me wonder about who would buy this chrome accented LT? Would they appreciate the snappy power? How about all the room inside? Would they notice the fog lights & running boards so coveted by others? Would they join HHR.net? I hope so! With an HHR, I can honestly say, it is once again fun to drive!

That is what I want mine to look like. I even like the non Fall edition headlights.
Well hopefully I can get that satin grille off of Ebay and then trade my wheels with the guy in Charlotte and be that much close. I won't have the chrome on the mirror or doors, but at least I can find the other things pretty easily.

I fell in love with a preowned 2008 silver 2LT (6k mi)with all of the goodies my wife and I were looking for; heated leather seats, fog lights, auto etc.
But then came a dilemma. My son told me about a limited version of the HHR called the "SS". Remembering back to my younger years, Chevelles, Camaros and Novas carrying this badge were something to be reckoned with.
We happened to find a preowned one for about the same price as the 2LT. With the intent to buy the 2LT, we looked at the SS on the way to the 2nd dealership that we were to buy the 2LT. We never made it.
Between the influence of my 19 year old son and my stupid 2nd life adolescence, we are the happy owners of a 2008 HHR SS with a manual trans and limited slip diff.
Far cry from the 2LT. Still wish I had the heated leather seats though, but this thing's a gas to drive. I feel more exhilerarted driving my HHR SS than the Cadillac CTS that it replaced.
Purchasing an HHR SS is something that I didn't think that I'd do. To top it off, we got the GM turbo upgrade afterward.
