Buying another HHR?

Hello again. I haven't been to the site in a long time. Since the last visit I've sold my 2006 2LT, moved to Denver, am single again, and I've been driving a 2017 Kia Niro hybrid. I own the car free & clear. I'm considering the possibility of getting another HHR 2LT. I miss the feel and driving dynamics of the HHR and the cargo space. There seem to be a number of low mileage (approx 100K miles or less) 2009 2010 2011 2.4 automatics online now. I need to have Bluetooth through the dash cellphone so 2009 and up - right? I've become accustomed to the blind spot monitoring on the Kia, and I don't know if it's a realistic possibility to retrofit to the car aftermarket. What thoughts do you have on going back to an HHR. Are parts readily available? Etc. I'm interested in your thoughts. Many thanks - David

Welcome back, you’re asking us if you should get an HHR? Heck yeah!! I drive old school , use my mirrors and actually turn my head to check blind spots, so it’s not feasible for me to retrofit lane change or blind spot alerts , cameras or anything like that.
take your time , check with us before you buy. Look underneath for rust, expect corrosion on fuel lines , if you have an OBD 2 scan tool ask if you can connect to the car for codes .

Bluetooth is phone only, if that matters.
If you know there are blind spots there is no such thing as a "blind spot". Bubble mirrors can take care of most.

I’ve been using those for decades.

Same mirrors I used before. Any major differences in the model years? 2009 2010 2011?

All 3 of those years are pretty much the same. Everything 2009 and later became flex fuel, except for SS.

If you can find a 2LT, it will be 2.4. You probably won't find many of those but if you find a good one, grab it. More important to find a well-maintained rust-free car in good condition that to worry about the trim and engine size.

Thanks for the responses! I always felt connected to the HHR - driving was a pleasure. I'm going to need a shop/mechanic to take care of one for me. A mechanic who is familiar with working on cars produced before everything went all digital all the time. Any recommendations for a Denver, CO shop?

I think I found a 2009 2LT. I live in Denver. Car is in Atlanta. How do I go about properly checking the car out before seeing the car with my own eyes?
Longest distance I ever bought a car was 5 hours away.

Do you have a link to the car, an add or sales website?
