bye bye racoon

This morning on the way to work, a raccoon ran right out in front of me. It was still dark so I never saw him coming. I was on the highway going 70 mph, so needless to say the 'coon didn't make it. I actually have 'coon hair stuck between the tire and rim, which is something I've not seen before. Unfortunately, there was a bit of damage to the black air dam, but that was it. I was able to get it back together and looking (for the most part) normal. I'm just glad it wasn't a deer. I can say for a fact that deer whistles do NOT work on raccoons.

Somehow your post made me think of Loudon Wainwright singing, "Dead Skunk In the Middle of the Road."

Reminds me of the time that I ran over a cat that ran out in front of me when I was driving my Suzi Sidekick. It just so happened to be the night before I took Suzi to get new rims mounted.
The installer called me into the bay to ask how it tasted, as there was still cat fuzz stuck in the under carraige.
