thank you DON! YOU DA MAN!!!
So it looks like at 6-1, I would have no problem fitting in there either on a mattress or a sleeping bag.
Now if I can only get my hands on an HHR... that'd be perfect!

Takes 8ft 2x4 easily

I do LOTS of handyman jobs for myself and others. I have FREQUENTLY had 8 ft lumber in the HHR and it just clears the dash (glovebox) by about 1/4" and the hatch closes nicely.so it takes 8ft (someone measured only 75", try again, it takes 8ft. BUT, that would only be true on the passenger side. On the driver side the steering wheel would stick out and it would NOT take 8 ft..but you two should EASILY be able to snuggle up in the HHR with the front and back seats down....

It says that with the seats Folded Flat, The HHr can handle up to 57.7 CU.FT of Cargo and Items up to 8' Long.

(Sindy it says Items in the HHr Book)
