Car reporting

I subscribe to a car problem sight ( mycarstats.com )and you should read some of the comments and rants from people driving HHRs. Bad grammar, run on sentences and over exaggeration on the problem at hand. These people threaten letter to Congressmen and Senators demanding GM fix these things. I know there are problems with the car we all love and we deal with them, but it seems some people are too stupid to be allowed to own a car. See sample post below.
10263564

Component: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE

Details: WHILE WORKING ON MY CAR AND CLEANING I DISCOVERED I AM DRIVING A BOMB. THE BATTERY IS LOCATED IN THE SPARE TIRE COMPARTMENT DIRECTLY OVER THE GAS TANK A REAR END COLLISION WOULD SET OFF AN IMMEDIATE FIRE OR EXLPLOSION FROM AN ELECTRICAL SHORT, SPARK, OR BATTERY EXPLOSION, SHOULD THE GAS TANK OR ANY CONNECTIONS TO BE BROKEN. *TR

Occurrences: 1 Injuries: 0
Fail Date: 03/20/2009 Deaths: 0
Date added to datbase: 3/29/2009

[FILE] your own complaint on this model car.

WTF! Would racing bodies that govern such things allow race cars to have the battery in the trunk? Has anyone ever heard of a battery ever exploding in recent memory?

Well it would only take one...

Usually the people like that tend to complain about everything. And yes, look at their grammar. It's usually not the best. Sometimes you wonder if it's a little kid.

Yeah, my dad got a $1,000 voucher off a new car just because of that. Although mine has improved over yours, my body style they put it under the seat. The seat bolts directly onto it....

Could be worse. you could be driving around in a old Ford Pinto. Look one up and check out the location for the gas tank on those

Over the gas tank Hmm! They had better look again.

That is like the woman that told me that she got rid of her Fiero because she found the fuel tank is between the seats in the car. She told me she was afraid it would blow up if she got hit.

That is when I told here It did not scare me in mine as if I got hit hard enough to bust the tank the car would have to go through me frst to hit the tank. At that point if it blew up it would not matter.

The gerneral public was never a Mensa club and they are only getting worse.

A designer from Ford once told me we don't fool proof cars we idiot proof them.

So, not too different than here.

Anyone know where the battery is located on the 80s model Toyota van?
Guess you'd be literally sitting on a bomb!

I had a battery blow up in a 1970 Vette. The car and I both were unharmed. It was behind the seats inside above the tank.

Just another clueless poster.
