None of that is necessarily going to drive a customer away. Like I said not a great commercial.

What about these commercials is going to drive people away . They might not be great overall but they're not that bad.
Newer ads seem to say nothing about the cars. I like/prefer ads that extol real virtues, not cosmopolitan urban chic marketing maneuvers like the Dick ad and this shirtless exercise in visual hyperbole.
Just what did we get out of the add? Some nice shots of a great looking orange car mobbed by shirtless idiots who look like me ( Ya really don't wanna see me shirtless )

Yeah, maybe it'll appeal to youth's with goatees or somethin' I dunno. Just seems like a jumbled mess like Andy Dick' ordeal was.
Andy's was the worst thing I've seen hyped as a commercial. Just a series of exercises in futility. Chevy really did not tell us much about the car at all with Andy at the helm. All he could do was not pronounce the name right.

I know a lot of car ads are vague and not informing, but I find the two HHR ads of which I speak, to be just ugly.
The HHR has great lines and is a beautiful looking car. These ads do that concept no justice.

Folks like me will be turned off, others may like the ads, but I see them as missed opportunities.
But that's just me, YMMV as they say

They could definately produce better ads! No arguments there! Hey, I have a goatee, you trying to say something?

Somehow that commercial reminds me of an old joke: Bubba and JimBob were out driving in Bubba's HHR and needed gas.Bubba sees a station with a sign that says "Free Sex With Fillup" so he pulls in there. After the attendant fills the tank,Bubba says what about the free sex with fillup? The attendant says if you can guess what number I'm thinking of between 1 and 10,you win the free sex.So Bubba guesses 7 and the attendant says no,it's 5.So as they are pulling out,JimBob says I think there is something funny about that number thing...last week my wife stopped in here and she won both times.

I was glad to see any commercials, featuring a HHR. Most were cool, although I`m not too sure about that car wash theme...
Sorta looks like the freeway exit, but not quite...

All of my pal's ripped on me when that came on. They called the HHR a gay man's car. It was very hard for me to defend myself. Especially after having the naked cowboy show up and the old man stripping. It went bad when I said "they dont want the girls, they only want the car". I was praying for a commerical to appear of a bunch of girls going after the HHR with a guy driving it. But faith was not on my side tonight.

Disturbing.
I would have really liked to have seen the "ugly/beautiful betty" Corvette ad become a reality.

Ah come on guys from a girls perspective that was hilarious. *wink*

I can't tell you have many head snaps I get driving by (and almost all of them are men). I do feel like that sometimes as you do get hit on as a girl driving a hot car.

They are probably trying to market to the opposite of what's been buying the car. I did however, run into another lady driver last week and she's close to me in age and demographic so maybe Chevy's working those conversion numbers.

LOVED THE PANEL HHR glimpse. That was cool.

What upsets me is that the commerical was filmed in manhatten. I looks like it was near my job. I've driven my HHR around Manhatten a few times. It casues heads to spin whenever it seen. I'm afraid to see people pretend to strip when I drive now.
