Well , I’m out, I already suggested and advised you, I can’t find a $20.00 AC Delco 131-158 thermostat listed at O’Reilly’s for under $50.00.

$165 labor is outrageous!!!! 2 bolts and a good back. 10 minutes.

The flat rate is listed at 1.2 hours, I guess they are including a pack of cigs and a few cups of coffee.

 

As stated many times before on this site, it's the only one that works for the HHR. Go with the off brand, cheaper ones and you're asking for problems.
#131-158 only.

 

SO the AC Delco is the ONLY way to go ? The others do not last or just do not work ? I am curious now lol...Would have never though that would be the case !!! Thanks

 

They don't work... It's a timing thing with the computer.

 

Do it once & the right way. This will cost much less than having to have it redone due to aftermarket T-stat.

 

The inner seal is different and does not tend to unravel and hold the valve open.

Trust me, I learned the hard way, two Stant, one purchased , one warranty, one MotoRad , still had code P0128 after a few days to a week, then AC Delco, problem solved, and no problems since 2012 and a lot of miles , like 150,000 on Oldblue.
