Boy do I agree about the seating. 2 inches lower would REALLy help.
Would be cool if you could get the interior stripped, but with the flat floor and shelf. Anyone else notice how much empty space is behind all that plastic? I got a case of juice next to the spare...

Yes. I was struck by the wasted space in the area where the storage bins are. I've had them out. I'd prefer the bigger cargo volume without the fancy bins - even if the floor is not flat but stepped.

I find that as it is the seat can be set low enough to suit me.It can go lower than where I have it set but the problem is that the steering wheel can't be taken low enough to be used comfortably at the seat's lowest position.I've always liked sitting low in a car and the most comfortable car I've had has been my '84 Camaro Z/28.I put a Recaro seat in it and the pedal/wheel/seat relationship was great.

I"m with ya, most comfortable ride I've had was my 96 Firebird. Lowslung, like driving a fighter jet. I'm going to check a custom wheelchair van shop to see if they can lower the seat.

yeah i too wish that the steering wheel would drop another 2" or so... i like driving with the seat slammed to the floor but the way the steering wheel is almost is like waving to someone and the petals are way too close-- im 5-7 and if the steering wheel feels comfortable, then the pedals jam up my legs... if the pedals feel comfortable then the steering wheel is a "reach" which tends to make my shoulder ache after a long drive and if i compromize, then my arm and my leg gets "twitchy"... i think im gonna try and see if theres a way of extending that adjustable steering wheel bracket down a bit

that article seemed like it was ripping on the HHR!... that guy must have been 6' tall and had a huge butt (mines none too small) and if i crank the seat all the way up to its highest setting, i STILL have like 5" left before i hit my head, someone should have told that guy to drop the booster seat

the only thing this guy really had to say good about the HHR is the drive train and its distinct look (which he went on to point out several bad things soon after)

piss on autoweek, theyve never owned one... maybe they should stick to riding public transportation!
