Question Chevy Parts Guy? GMPP intake filter?

Hello Chevy Parts Experts, Help please? I just installed a GMPP HHR performance intake, and I would like to know about a replacement filter element (the conical one). Is there a part number for the filter? Is it made by an outside vendor that I could buy from? I know it is supposed to last a long time, and can be cleaned, but I put 184k on my last car, so I think ahead. I'd like a spare in case of damage, wear, etc. Many thanks, and God Bless, Marc

I believe in the instructions that came with the kit, you do not need to replace the filter. You blow it out with air. But don't use too high of a speed as you might destroy the filter.

I hear you Brian, and I know what the dealer says. I am thinking that if somehow the filter got a tear in it, where are you then? A worthless $400 intake if you cannot find a filter. I'd rather try to find one now before it becomes a critical problem. God Bless, Marc

Hi Folks, The number for the filter is:

I hope this helps. Best wishes, Marc

Thanks Marc! I hadn't thought about what happens if the filter was physically damaged. Great find :)
