Chrome

Does anyone know if there is any chrome engine parts available for the HHR? I would like to get a chrome air cleaner cover, oil cap, just a little bling bling for under the hood.

You do realize that that LARGE honking chunk of black plastic under your hood is the air cleaner cover right? That would be a BIG piece of chrome.

Many have replaced it with an intake or have painted it. Other than that you are on your own. You'll find some items and stuff at our vendor sites. Mine just began to offer powder coating of the valve covers and other stuff. wouldn't do the valve cover though unless you replace the OEM intake though, you'd never see it.

Looks cheap yes, is flimsy, NO! That thing is a monster! But you know what, I painted mine first, like a bunch of other people here have done, and it does make a huge difference. I painted my fuse and coil covers all to match my HHR and I think they looked great.

I can find one of the painted cover but if you search the pics here you'll find a few.

Here's a couple though. The first is before I had my intake and valve cover powder coated, the next is after.

I've added a few more things to dress it up some and have a few more in the works. There are some sweet engine compartments on here. Rude has one of the nicest!
