Cleaning rubber mats

I have a set of grey HHR rubber mats that I need to clean. They have a brownish stain on them probably from road tar. I have tried quite a few cleaners including Orange Blast but can't get them clean. Anyone have any luck?

Goof Off might take care of it.

I'll give them a try! I have used Spot Shot which is kind of like Goof Off, but not WD40. I have WD and GOOF OFF so I give it a whirl!

I can tell you what dident work! I tried cleaning my premium rubber mats using cleanser w/bleach, that dident work.
They have a blackish tinge to them from the bottoms of my shoes even after scrubbin' 'em!
Although you dealing with tar, I'll be watching for someeone to post what DID work!

My advice is ebay and get new ones. I tried car carpet clener to clean mine, works ok but can get new ones for around $40-$50 or get the OEM vinyl if u have casmere interior i have grey and would look funny on mine.

I use bleach white (I think that's what it's called).. it's white wall tire cleaner. I spray it on and use a scrub brush and they look brand new when I'm done.

I'll try some tonight! I have some left from my old Harley with white walls!
