Close Call Today with HHR

I was driving in the AM and I lucky for me a garbage truck was in front of me going slow making me nuts because I wanted to pass it. However it stopped at a light and my father taught me defensive driving so I kept my distance. As I stopped I noticed from my rear view the guy behind me slowing down as well, then I heard boom. I did not feel anything, so I thought Wow Chevy made a great bumper to withstand impact. Then I got out of the car, and there was a mini-van that smacked the back of the car behind me and there was about 10 inches from my back bumper to the guy behind me. However he was struck by the mini-van. As I got out they guy asked if he hit my car, I looked and said no, and then he turns to the guy with the mini-van and said what the heck happen. They guy points up and says something about not seeing the light. So I just jumped into my car and took off to leave those 2 guys go at it. No one got hurt expect it was a 2 car accident not a 3 car accident involving an HHR.

Thats good! I have almost been hit a couple of times. The other night a tractor trailer almost side swiped me which would have put me into a guard rail. I call my style of driving offensive driving and it was self taught.

My family has it's own little mantra for driving. Threatened? Accelerate.

Oh, and when we're on bikes, We all have taped to our handlebars, "Crazy Cage Alert!" Except me, Cuz, I don't have a bike yet. My first bike is either going to be a chopper my Bro built, Or a brand new Harley Sportster 1200 Custom.

My wife is horrified of me getting a bike. Any time I mention it she brings up her friend that was in a bad accident and is now in a wheel chair. I'm partial to the Harley V-Rod and I will have one with or without her blessing.

Ah, VRods kick ass, But which model?

The VRSCA, VRSCR Street Rod, VRSCD Night Rod, VRXSE Screamin' Eagle Destroyer, Or the VRSCSE2 Screamin' eagle V-Rod?

Don't get me started on bikes...you think my HHR video was fast?
Try 180 on an R1, 167 on a Suzuki 750, and 153 on a Yamaha 1100.
Those were my three best top speeds.

Now do you see why I don't currently have a bike?
Funny...I was just looking at getting a Ducati Monster right before I found the HHR.

I think I made the right choice...choose life!

Ehh, I'm not ALL about speed, But it definitely helps. 180 is too damn fast on a bike for me.
