I was going to bring up the whole foreign companies giving Americans jobs issue because anytime I get on a discusion about American vs. foreign manufacturers it comes up. The jobs created by foreign manufacturers are a biproduct of the foreign manufacturer saving themselves money through tax breaks and shipping costs and bad decisions concerning free trade by our goverment. While I do appreciate anybody giving Americans jobs and alowing them to support their family. I hate that our hard earned money is going right into another counties economy, driving down the value of our dollar while boosting their economy. Something just isn't right with that.

Believe me I'm not too happy about that. But at least my money went back into our economy through Chevy as opposed to my money going to Japans economy through Honda. Do you actualy want to see the demise of the American auto manufacturers? I feel that Chevy probably wouldn't have been able to put the HHR out for the price they sell it at if they weren't using cheap Mexican labor. I have never owned an import and I never will.

A car is a car.

But just for the record, the new Civic is quite unimpressive.

A car may be just a car, but a jobless American is just wrong.
