Cup Holder Fix

Whenever driving with a bottle of water, a 20 oz Coke bottle or insulated coffee mug in the cup holder (not at the same time), the bottle or mug will fall over or fall out of the cup holder during normal driving.

Is there a fix to this? I know they changed the cup holders /console for 2009. Is this the reason why? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I have the same issue. The opening is oversized and most water bottles and such just don't fit. Hopefully, someone will come up with a good idea to fix this.

OK, did a little search online and found this. Adjustable, and would actually raise the cup holder up a bit (which would be good, considering how low our console is). Inexpensive, too.

And another. Even less expensive. Good, positive reviews about this one.

Tim in Nashville -
Just down in Clarksville visiting my sister this past Thanksgiving. It was during that trip, when I stopped at the Civil War Mansion Rest Stop in Paducah that: I launched Mom's bottled water on to the floor. And as I was hunting for a parking spot while going to the Black Horse Inn I noticed my Coke kept falling over. I think this is cheap enough I might get one to see what I think. Of course - I would rather find something like a sleeve that would fit in the holder....

Agreed - a sleeve would look better. But the more I'm looking at these, the more the more I like the second one. It would lift the drink up higher (a good thing), and wouldn't really be all that noticeable. Cheap enough that I think I'm going to order one and see how it works out.

What about a styrofoam doughnut?

Or maybe a pipe reducer could work? Would give a little higher support for tippage anyway.

The thing I hate is the location adjacent to the emrgency brake handle. How many times have I knocked the lid off a fast food drink cup? Too many to count. How many times have I splilt soda inbetween the seats because of it? So far none, I've been lucky..knock on plastic

OK, well, I've ordered the one from Amazon (my second post). Will post pics and a review once I receive it. Figured it was cheap enough that even if I didn't like it, I hadn't spent too much on it.
