Back space is not your problem. the attachment pins take up all of the edge space.
Any of the fuse positions labelled "spare" are hooked up to the RAP relay (like the radio and windows). I think the ones labelled "empty" are live, not sure.
The 12 v power outlet (cig lighter) is within 3 inches, problem? Do you use it? Get the dual usb replacement.
unfortunately I need yo be able to use the 12v power/cig….. thanks

cheaper and easier to get the cigarette lighter usb plug, they make them with dual charge ports, many styles to choose from as well

That's where I plug in my inverter, and it rests in the rear cup holder.

BCM fuse box (inside one)

Is there a thread any where with wiring diagram? I have the hardest time navigating.
Im looking to see where I could safely get continuous 12v power

You probably could figure it out by looking at the fuse box diagram or using a test light or VOM. All of the "spare" fuses on the BCM are switched and on the RAP circuit. The easiest place for constant 12V is the cig lighter wire, it is fused at 15 or 20 amps. #29 underhood.
I am guessing you are installing an after market radio. The stock wiring harness provides constant 12V, it is the switched voltage that is required.

actually I am going to wire in some USB charging ports….2, both are 3amp max. so its not going to be a large current draw. Kind of like to stay away from cig. lighter since post I read says it also powers OBD2.
The RAP circuits sound great but be nice if I could charge my phone or whatever when car is parked.

And kill the battery? If you put a fuse on your circuit that is smaller than 20 A it will blow before damage is done. The power to the OBD port only serves as a point to measur voltage and to run a OBD scanner.
