Is the dash cluster controlled by a computer module and if so how do you access it.
The the anti-theft icon stays on various messages pop up on the dash mainly the power steering the cruise control will flip off the Heat or the AC cooling will flip off but the fan will still run the various dash gauges go nuts.

The site has changed a lot since the last time I was on here and it's taking me a few minutes to find out how to reply to your message so this isn't the right way please let me know

Hi Marilyn, not trying to dodge your question, but what are the issues you're experiencing?

Seems like the old dying battery symptoms of an HHR or s loose fuse box under the hood.
Yes the gauge head is controlled by the BCM
There are fuses and relays to inspect, but for the most part , something is loose.

Well, it's better to simply reply than to edit your original post. I almost missed your edits.

I agree with Oldblue. You should call your local auto parts stores, see which one will give you a free battery test and give you a printout of the results. Post up the results here.

x2 what RJ says - take it one step at a time, starting with the easy stuff - get that battery tested as step 1.
