I have been everyplace i can think of in here and can't seem to find out how to tell the date my vehicle was made. The last 6 of my vin is 666331. Think anyone can direct me to the correct place to find out this info.

on drivers door is date of man, mine 07/05

 

Check the inside of your door. There should be a date in the upper right corner. I just check my rental and it is may 06 And just got it tags. I know mine said Nov 05.
Based on the buid time frames of 3 months I got mine in Feb a couple of days after they got it off the truck.
Not sure f what I posted is correct but it all looks good to me.

If I remember correctly, I think it is located on the Drivers side door. Mfg Date. I know there was a thread somewhere but I can't find it.

Ok i found that date. Mine is 05/06 But i thought you could tell the day and date that it was made. I have seen it someplace but can't find it again.

The decoder referenced in other posts on this forum references a decoder on another forum site. I just went there and their decoder dident offer a specific production date, just a production run number sequence which is the last 6 digits of the VIN number.

 

I was lucky to have had my dealer forward an email from the factory when my HHR was build was completed. I had mind made to order. So, I have an exact date from factory.
Now I can celebrate a birthday true to fact!
