It appears that the last HHR for 2008 was built 6/26/08. It is still at a dealer in Jackson MS. VIN 8S725844. But I could be wrong.

One thing I found is that the Saturn Vue and the Mexican Captiva both share the 8SXXXXXX designations so that doesn't mean that 725844 HHRs were built in 2008.

I just posted the production numbers a friend from GM could supply me with. It looks like almost 100,000 HHR's were built and only 4,519 were SS models.

Is there a way to determine which of the 4,519 that my SS is? In other words here in this sequence does my vehicle fall? Thanks

 

As far as I know no one has been able to find that information. If you call GM that say they don't know either.

 

Just an update

Your dealer computer said my build was on 6-23-08

I found the GMAC bank document on my HHR and here is what it said.

Invoice 6-23-08

Shipped 6-21-08

EXP I/T 7-07 -08

INT COM 7-07-08

PRC EFF 6-18-08

Not sure what much of this is but it looks as the 23rd is the invoice date and the 21st was the ship date.

I suspect he build date was around 6-18 or 6-19 as I found a sticker n the inside of the front bumper on the drivers side with the date of 6-19-08.

I am not sure on all of this but this is what I found on GM documents and it looks like my build date was a few days before.

It really does not matter to me but this info if someone could figure it out many help shed some light on the build dates.
