True but it must have been very scary. If the deer panicked the kid could have seriously harmed.

Also make note that she should be lucky it was a deer that jumped in the van and not some crook or perv who could have just as easily driven off the kid.

On a lighter note, I bet the deer dont think they are over populated.

Update

Goes into the shop on Monday. Had to wait for insurance and parts. Getting a new drivers-side rear door. Also, gonna have 'em repaint the hood (BAD stone chips) and grill (did a custom 3-bar), also BAD stone chips. Ordered a bra and should be here by the time the HHR is back from the shop. I'll keep ya posted....

I just hit a deer. Every time somethings bad happened in a car of mine, it's involved 1 of three women. This happened as I was driving up to see her get married. OH - and I was driving at night in all occurances, but this is the first time I've hit a deer.

Hood is crumpled, grill is crumpled, radiator is bent/cracked. Made sure it stayed 180-190 degrees on the 20 minute ride back. I'm pretty sure it was leaking coolant but I got it back. Report and insurance call tommorow morning.

I haven't been on the site for a long time since getting my HHR (I did a lot of lurking before I bought it! Hah!).

I've never gone through insurance or collision claim before. And now that I'm living on my own away from parents, it's going to be strange how this all works out. I do have 'Rental' on my car insurance but as the looks of it above- this isn't an instant process even for a rental I imagine, and I will probably miss the wedding now.

All because I didn't want to leave in the morning =(.
