Bring us the pipe and we do it for 20 smackers. Takes less than 5 minutes.

R & R
Visual fail for smog.

JB welded and tried to pass Cali smog with plastic PCV elbow repair on 2003 Camry.
Didn't pass visual they considered it "altered" dealer item only
Latest CA smog adventure was the van with a transmission code intermittent set P1080 finally got it.

Broken at the flange we repair the flange. If the pipe is compromised we say replace.

The oic shows the inside of the flange is broken, as is the usual. There are as few options; one of which can be clamped on (depending on local law).
CA has some oddities, you might have to get a whole catalytic converter from GM to satisfy the inspector.

PVC in an exhaust system? It starts melting at around 120F.

I'm pretty sure the smog guy never looked at it. Don't think any of them ever have. At most an exhaust fume detector in the engine bay. Don't think they even did that though. My best guess is a pressure rating at one of the 02 sensors that was low.

It's a loss of metered air, but wouldn't that cause a CEL?

I think the right welder could fix that.
