I couldn't get the trim/wheels/color/radio exactly as I wanted, so I just told the salesman to cancel it and drove home with a new Cobalt! BUT. I'm still gonna get it. I will watch the the option list changes every day, and order it when I can get it closer to what I want. If that happens I'll have a very slightly used Cobalt for sale, very cheap! btw, the 2.2 motor in a stripped Cobalt 5-speed coupe is a rocket ship!

I ordered my HHR with the exact options I wanted (and dident want), and waited for it to be built. (7 weeks)

Was it because they wouldent order what you wanted or the options available arent to you liking?

Sindy, regardless of what the website shows, I assure you the build computer at GM does NOT allow order entry for white unless it is an LT1 AND you specify the bright chrome option--it won't accept white with brushed chrome. Also, I could not find a pic of the LT1 radio and was worried the MP3stuff meant you had a big hole in the dash where you stick an ipod that I don't care to own. It apparently has more than just the tiny ipod jack the LS has. Then, they show the nice LT1 machined wheels but tell you those might not be the ones they are shipping when your car gets built as they are switching to painted silver later this year. I really like the HHR concept and want one really bad. But, I hope to keep it a long time and want it to be exactly the way I want it--and want to know what I will be getting. I got the Cobalt because I need wheels and the salesman helped me out with a fat discount and the $750 rebate off a sticker price of 12990. Crimeny, I drove that thing home cheap!

You're not hated, wolfee. You gotta do what you gotta do. Good luck with your Cobalt.

Not to worry wolfee...you needed wheels and you got them. I'm sure your friend there will let you know when everything you want is available.

Hey Wolfee
Was you trying to place an order for an 06 or 07? I could be wrong but I think 07 white is only on the LT models.
As far as the radio, I have an 1LT and there is not big hole for the IPOD/MP3 jack is. ONly the little plug.
Any no one will hate you cause you did not get an HHR.

We have an HHR and a Cobalt. Basically the same car with different bodies.
