Door Transmitter won't work

Bumped the light switch on last night and accidentally left the lights on overnight. "Dead Battery" I couldn't get find the rear hatch release so I hooked up the charger to the post under the hood. Then I jumped the car from the battery.

Neither one of my Key Remotes will work now and none of the tire pressure monitors work either.

From what I read the only way to make the remotes is to take them to the dealer. Is this true? Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Some times our HHR's really get under my skin with some totally stupid problems.

If i'm not mistaken, your lights should have turned off at either a set time, or when your battery hits a certain voltage thus giving you enough power to start the vehicle.

If so that did not happen. The battery was totally dead. The car's computer lost it's memory (ran rough till it relearned itself) Radio lost it's memory, tire sensors lost there settings and my door remotes don't work. Maybe something else I haven't noticed yet.

Brad. Do I have to visit the dealer to have them reprogrammed? Also is there anything else I will need to get reprogrammed?

Yes on the reprogram and take both key fobs. Just tell them it quit working, no need to go into the messy details.

I went to the dealer today and they had to reflash my cars computer to get everything working again. Covered under warranty.
