We used to have three locally, now it's just one....

Good info... Heading to the drive-in this Saturday here in MD (Bengies Drive-In in Chase MD) should be a triple feature so hopefully I have no troubles...

I thought the HHR came with battery run-down protection? Is that true?

Talked to John L Sullivan Chevrolet service advisor today, he thinks it's a problem with the battery. Going to take it in later this week and have it replaced.... Just in time for this weeks shows.........

Battery failed the load test and was replaced today. Don't know when next I am going back to the drive-in, I won't be sweating out getting stuck though...

I haven't looked, but is there room for a bigger, higher capacity battery back there?

Well sort of, if you don't use the Acc position as in the OP. If you turn the Ignition to OFF and keep the doors closed the radio and interior lites will only stay on for 15 min. in ACC they will stay on until battery death, which in my experience the radio etc still work Starter will not work.

Bring an old fashioned Boom Box with batteries and that will definately solve your worries. Yes I'm old-I did say Boom Box... upgraded to cassette Boom Box even
