Driver's seat question

This plastic rod is sticking out from the right side frame of of the driver seat. I can't find any thing in search or owner manual. Seat functions work fine but did not know it was there until seat was back all the way. Any one know what it is?

Not the best picture. Any chance you could get a closer shot ?
Taking a guess here. It almost looks like a piece of the seat track has come loose based on what looks like maybe notches in that piece ?

Taking a guess be it may be a guide rail that the seat slides on and it came off and slid to the front when the seat was moved . I would try moving the seat and see if it moves to?

Here is a down shot with a paper back ground. It probably is the track.

I had some time today and tried to move the track back into place. No luck. It doesn't seem to affect seat operation but I'm sure it will before long.
