Dumb Question time

Ok, I have a 2006 HHR LT. (i love it btw) lol.
I have a few questions that I can't seem to figure out on my own.

I don't know how to tell if it is an LT 1 or 2.
I have the 2.2 enigine, no onstar, but I have the xm option for my radio.
I don't know if I have the single cd deck or the multi cd deck.
I don't have radio controls on my steering wheel, but I think I have the sub in the back. (left side when you open the rear hatch)

The dealership I purchased my HHR from was a Honda dealership and they didn't know much of anything about it when I bought it.
I knew more about the car then they did.
For example: I knew that all automatic HHR's came standard with remote start. The dealership had no clue about this feature.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

*side note* <---- this smilie cracks me up every time I see it.

sounds like you might have the premium sound, but no steering wheel controls.

Go look at your radio, and on the left side of the controls, below the CD slot, is there a button labelled
LOAD?

If so...it's a multi disk player.

the 1LT has the 2.2
the 2LT has the 2.4
the LS has the 2.2

you mentioned you do not have a LS, so we know it's a LT...and if it has the 2.2, it is a 1LT.

I dont know if you could get the premium sound option without the multi disk player, and no steering wheel controls...but WITH the 8" subwoofer on the driver's side rear side panel.

Look at your outside mirrors. Do they have a black cap (the area you would see from looking from the front of the car ) or is it satin chrome, or is it bright chrome? Black caps--LS, Satin chrome--1LT, Bright chrome-2LT. Are your wheels steel, then most likey it is LS unless the previous owner put on Alum wheels. Do you have power driver seat? that is only standard on the LT's and was not available on the LS. Since you have the 2.2L that means either the LS or 1LT. The 2LT came with the 2.4L

Only in the US.

I have a Canadian 2006 HHR LT with the1SA package (1LT equivelent) and I have the 2.4.
The 2.4 was standard equipment and not an upgrade option.

2.4 can be had on a 1 LT but a 2.2 cannot be had on a 2 LT. So if he has a 2.2 and it's a LT that makes it a 1 LT

Not always. Bright Chrome can be had on 1 LT.

...which backs up Hillsdale's statement.

a 1LT can have either engine(2.2 or 2.4)
but a 2LT can ONLY have a 2.4

therefore, if the author's car is a LT, with a 2.2, it HAS to be a 1LT

Thanks for the replies everyone. Now I know I have the LT1. I have to look to see if there is a load button on my radio.
I do have the power driverside seat, and my mirrors are chrome, but I don't really know the difference between satin and bright chrome. I know its shiny and its chrome lol.

Okatta, That is what we are here for, well, at least some of us Your chrome which you say is shiny is the bright type, the satin is dull. Hope you enjoy it as much as the rest of us and is trouble free. Most salesmen in all dealerships are as you say are clueless. I think most of us that went to buy a HHR knew more than the salesmen about it.
