Its like where's waldo? good one

 

It was down to like 58-degrees this morning, so I had to ride in the garage on my Minoura trainer. I can't wait until it warms up!

 

Here's mine in CT...

 

My days of long training rides, when it's 30, are pretty well numbered. But days when it is nearly 60, that's a whole nother matter!

 

Living in the Buffalo, NY area sort of makes us experts on snow driving. Both of my minivans(front wheel drive) had poor traction in snow with the stock all-season radials. When I installed the Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires (on steel rims), the transformation was nothing short of incredible. The ABS and traction control rarely came on. My Chevy Venture with Blizzaks is almost as good as my Suburban in 4WD.

At some point, though, it comes down to ground clearance. If you start sledding on the undercarriage then tires have no downforce and you will get stuck.

BTW, we missed the latest east coast snowstorm here in Buffalo. It was actually sunny this weekend!. This winter has been extra mild here with very little snow (except south of the city in the ski areas)

Pictures speak louder than words. These were at noon, snow continued here until about 5.

 

I was born & raised in Florida and this cracker will never leave to live in the snow. The coldest it gets is around 28 and that is all north of St. Pete, so I'm never that cold! The futher south you go the warmer it stays, ooooo yeah! Don't get me wrong, for me being a cracker to the bone, anything below 70 is cold! LOL.... My parents are from Tenn. & N.C. so I have played in the snow, many times, but I could NEVER live there. I hope you guys thaw out real soon......
