About 2 months ago i was on the FDR drive and i saw a purple LT with SS badges in all the factory spots. I wish I could have taken a picture of it. It really looked bad. It was bumper to bumper traffic and I could not pull up next to the lady driving it. I wanted to ask her if car was a speical DIY edition of the SS. I don't agree with putting fake stickers on a car. It seems kinda sad,but that's my opinion . To each their own.

At least the SS badges were in the right spots, for whatever that's worth. It's a lot worse when they're not even close.

As for the driver...who knows, she might not know that much about cars, and the SS emblems might have been affixed by the previous owner, who sold it to her as an SS. She might have been genuinely shocked if you had pointed it out to her. I've seen that done on ebay more than once...always funny when the seller then has to try to defend himself when people in the know start questioning him about listing his HHR as an SS when it clearly isn't one.

When I bought my 1990 Ranger it had blue 'EDGE' decals on the sides of the bed. Ford didn't sell the Ranger EDGE until 2001. Not knowing (or caring) much about Ford Ranger history, I didn't find this out until after about a year of ownership.

The point of customization is to improve a car, and generally make it better, not to be on the cover of "Trailer Park Monthly" That just looks trashy.

Nah, it is usually part of a limited drinking campaign among friends. But remind me never to trash talk at you. I'd be remote starting my car from now on.
