Fastrac gas stations in central ny to start selling non ethanol gas

I am being told that the Fastrac had stations at least in the central ny area
Will be selling non ethanol blended gas in 30-60 days.
Super unleaded only.
This is great news for us.
Has anyone else started seeing or heard any rumors of the ethanol gas blend going away.
I am assuming it is just a matter of time before the ethanol blend goes away
Since our government is no longer giving billions as I understand it to the oil companies to blend it in

I don't think Algore nor the midwest corn farmers would want non ethanol gas to go away. I have tried several thousand miles running no ethanol gas in my 2.4 auto and the only thing I saw was a lighter wallet as it was 93 octane and $0.60 more per gallon and no mpg improvement.

It's my understanding that while the ethanol subsidies have been eliminated, the federal mandate that 37% of the 2011-2012 corn crop be converted to ethanol and blended with gasoline. (as per http://www.thenewamerican.com/econom...andates-remain )

This is only one source, so I'm unable to verify it's accuracy.

I admit to not being the sharpest knife in the drawer, but from this, I might conclude that non-ethanol blend gasoline will go up some (10-15%?) while ethanol blend should rise significantly more.

Not only is ethanol not going away, but plans are in place to increase the ethanol content of motor fuel gasoline to 15%.

I believe, at this point, ethanol is the only replacement for the banned MTBE. So for the areas that have an emission requirement....cleaner air kind of thing...., it will not go away.

Or you can buy a car with a 10K battery in it.
