Few Pics from my Thanksgiving trip to W. Virginia

For Thanksgiving I took a trip to W. Virginia to visit my fiance's family and to finalize some of our wedding plans since we will be married there next August.

Here are the pics from the trip...

Great pictures. We also went to Huntington last spring and also went to Hillybilly Hot Dog. Did you eat the 15" HomeWrecker hot dog or the 10 pound round hamburger? The show Diners Dives and Drive-In's did a segment on them.

Maybe they can cater your wedding.

I grew up about 50 miles away from Huntington. Went up there a lot to visit friends on campus. A fun place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.

Sarge... thanks and yes the hotdogs were good but the experience was amazing. LOL.

KYRVNUT... they said the same thing. Haha... I guess they've done a couple weddings at the hotdog stand complete with the bride gluing underarm hair under her dirty sleveless t-shirt. And no I couldn't handle a homewrecker in my dreams.

RCFlyBoy- That's why she's here with me in Chicago now.

Are you getting married in Huntington? It's a nice place!

My nephew played football at Marshall and met his wife who is from there. We all traveled up there for the wedding. It was a great time. Somehow, I missed the hotdog place. I also didn't know the whole story of Marshall's tragedy until after the trip. I would have spent more time sight seeing if I knew the history.

Great pictures!

Yes we are getting married at Heritage Farms which is a little Appalachian village/museum place that has the log chapel in the pictures above. :)
