I think that could have been the next generation HHR IMO. I mean, look at how the grille looks like all the other Chevrolet grilles now? I'm guessing that was their intention originally...

Well maybe not the second gen, but at least a facelift for the current.

I wonder what they do with old show cars? How would you buy it when they are done with it?

I think GM keeps most of them. If not they destroy them or give them to another museum. GM Heritage Center has tons of them, but it's not open to the public.

You are correct as it is at the Heritage center or one of the storage buildings. They will keep it and there is a remote chance it could be sold a auction in the future. THough is will not be legal for the road.

Not going to happen the HHR is done. The HHR did a good job but it's time has come to an end. Retro styling is a two edged sword. It is cool and neat for a while but then comes a time to restlye and you are damned if you do and damned if you don't.

The Granite is now coming like it or not. I see it from the reaction here capturing about 50 percent of the present HHR market or little more since a large chunk is fleet sales. I also see it making inroads on conquest sales from people who are not present GM buyers. This is improtant to market share as many HHR owners will move to another GM product in most cases anyway.

The Retro deal is what has hurt the PT. If they changed it much they lose and if they don't change it much many new buyers just pass on it. All good things have to come to an end.

Chevy has had many cool cars and some like the Nomad did not last even as long as the HHR.

Just the time comes they have to move on or we would never get any other cool cars.

Chevy Nomad was made from 1955 to 1961, fwiw and then reintroduced from 1968 to 1972.

I apologize for letting this thread go off topic to HHR concept cars. Let's get back to the topic of production numbers for SS version. If you have an 08 or 10 ss, go the the link given. The right colum will give you numbers. The highest number is the total for the model year.
