First modification suggestions

Congratulations on finding a manual transmission 2LT. They are exquistely rare, but so rewarding. The heated leather seats (particularly for the driver, since the bean counters got to the passenger side) are a unique joy.

I've seen the good and the bad about modifications. With girlfriend and my manual 2LTs we deliberately got every option available except the automatic transmission. I'm 5 ft 5, so the sunroof issues I have had are it breaking and rattling (see the technical service bulletin thread) rather than taking up headroom.

From the pic, it looks like your car doesn't have running boards! Both for appearance and to save the paint, I would strongly suggest adding them sooner rather than later.

Dual horns are a safety issue for me. It's inexpensve (the part is anyway, labor can be much more than parts). The stock horn is single tone and not very loud. You don't need it often, but when you do it could avoid a collision and you want to be heard!

Thanks, guys, for all the compliments. I love it too. I'm in love with the 17-inch rims. Oooohh, shiny....

You are correct, sir! It does have them, that picture is dark down there so if your monitor brightness/contrast is not right, it may be hard to see.

Tell me about it! Try finding one w/o a sunroof as well! I wouldn't be surprised if there are fewer than 100 in the
world with the 2LT, 5-spd, blue, no sunroof combo. Although to be honest, there are several other colors I like
(Silver, Sandstone, Amethyst, Maroon, Golden Teal, Aqua-Blue) just lucked out that blue was my favorite.

Thanks for the tip. "Sounds" like a good idea.

Thanks. I came this close, ->| |<-, to getting a silver '09 SS that looks just like yours. It was double the price of the '06 2LT, though, so my pocket book won out in the end. The SS would have been more fun, but since I already have a hot rod (Trailblazer SS), I figured the 2LT would be more of a "utility" car (while not looking like a "utility" car).
