Finally i'm on !! newbie
Hi all, i've had my black ss 5 speed for 30 days as of today. i was looking at this site about a week before i got it, but would never get a confirmation email, till i grabed a new address at mail.com , then instantly got a confirmation email, silly, i have no blockers on my reg email.
well i just wanted to say hi, i live in streamwood ,il. traded in a 2002 explorer sport (loaded) for my new toy ! i have 2600 miles on the ss, and only prob is the noise coming from the headliner, behind the sunroof, which i've read is a velcro problem.
it is hard to wipe the smile off of my face when i'm driving it !!! it is quite the machine. i love this ride, i'm 44 and have had the quite a gambit of rides in my life, and this is by far my fav. it actually remindes me of my 1986 yamaha fzx 700 s fazer motorcycle , ya i know that sounds crazy, but the power and handling are so psycho for a 4 cyl (my 1st in a car-truck-suv-mpv- or what ever you prefer.
i've done a couple simple mods. and will get pics up soon.
i have painted the callipers , and decided to be dif, i see all the red ones and they look great, i went with yellow, did it this past sat. took a bit of time , but they look tricked out !!!!!
in the 30 days i,ve had her i've seen 3 others - 1 blk -1 silver-1 red
i've had her up to 120 or so , and there was a lot left, smooth as silk at 120 wow !!!
looking forward to the tons of info you guys (and gals) provide on this site, and i'll try to add what i can.

Welcome to the site and we are always happy to have another SS owner in the ranks! I really like mine also, and concur with you that this is one fun car to drive!
Looking forward to seeing those yellow calipers on black! That sounds like a great combo. Sounds like you have a need for speed, just be careful out there my friend! There are some nice drag strips in our area to do some testing, and I plan to visit Union Grove, WI sometime soon this Summer!

Weeknights It Is $30 To Race ( Many Times As You Want ) Weekends It Is $37
