Talking Finally...my 2009 2LT is here!

I've finally taken possession of my brand new 2009 2LT HHR! I've been doing research now for about 3 months before deciding on the HHR and all you guys and gals in the forum don't know how much you've helped! I got to take advantage of employee pricing that goes off Sept. 2, but had to take possession before then. The dealer didn't have what I wanted there so they worked very hard to get one in for me this week and this is the result. The only mods so far are the gold metallic pinstripes (got yesterday), but more are on the way as I already have an order on the way from HHRBoutique. Thanks again everyone for helping me to decide on the HHR! I have pics posted on Members HHRs but haven't yet figured out how to get them here. Ya'll can help me with that-

Don't mod it to death, just drive it and have a blast for awhile breaking it in.

Welcome to the HHR familia!!!

I gotta say--wasn't sure about the '09 rims, and I've seen them on a car at my dealer, but you know, they look really good on the summit! And that pinstripe is fantastic! Did you do that or the dealer?

VERY nice!

I'd say be slow and subtle with the mods, but what the heck, go for it!

Your first assignment, totsyo, is to fold the rear seats flat, then fold down the passenger seat flat, place some padding of some sort and maybe a pillow on the folded flat passenger seatback, put in your favorite CD, and listen to it while stretched out laying down in your new HHR. I'm 6'3" and I'm able to lay prone like this and listen to the radio.

Its a great way to bond with your HHR! You might snooze off into a nap in there! Best at night-- the glow from the radio faceplate makes a cool ambient light source.

Thanks, Angelita for the kind words. I took her to a body shop guy I know and trust and he did the pin striping for me. He did a great job and is working on a few scroll designs for me to look at to go on either side of the liscense plate. Thanks also to Sindy for uploading a couple of my pics. I'll figure it all out eventually!
Lone Ranger, that sounds awesome! Think I just might try that tonight...

Great color choice

Dont baby her while you break it in brother. Vary your speeds, perform lots of gradual spirited acceleration and have some fun. As you mentioned, this a great place to get ideas and to swap stores, concerns, etc.
