Question First oil change

I've read where some dealers gave free first oil changes. I asked mine and they said no. They offered to sell me 4 for the price of 3 though.

Comments?

The HHR is one of the easiest oil changes I've ever done. It's a whole lot more economical to buy your own oil and filter and do it yourself.

Some dealers do offer oil changes. I bought my HHR from the same dealer I bought my 03 Impala. I had free oil changes for life on the Impala (as long as I owned the car), but got diddly squat with the HHR.

What Tim said...it is SO easy on this car...save some $$$, learn about your engine a bit and have fun(as much fun as an oil change can be). I just get satisfaction knowing that I did it myself

I got mine to give me free OC and tire rotations for as long as I own the car. They were doing it for brand-new '08s. My '08 is off-lease. He also threw in the 100K Wrap-around warranty.

Dang. I only got the first one free and just forked out $35 on Friday for it (had it done while the sunroof was being replaced--that was covered by warranty and free).

They slapped a sticker saying to come in at 3K, but went by the DIC instead (I was at 45%) which was about 4K miles since the first one.

My dealer is so ticked at me, he won't even deal with me on trading mine for another one (SS). Really.

I'm not a good person to deal with. (Cars that is) I nail their a$$'s to the wall. They're not my friends as they pretend to be and I show no mercy.

While we're on that subject. I've had mine changed a few times. Doing it my self is fine but do they make a special wrench to fit on that filter. Never really tried anything or find something at harbor freight?

Would be cheaper to switch over to synthetic myself
