Just took a 2500 mile road trip in the HHR with no problems.... perhaps just in need of some new rotors, as there was some wobbling during braking as the trip came to a close.... had 3 passengers (including one large man) and lots of cargo, including a roof bag


I saw way more HHRs on the road down south than I have ever seen here in the North.... weird

 

Congrats! I'm getting ready to take my first in the HHR as well. I don't know where south was for you but HHR's spreading like brush fires down here. (No pun intended) I do have a question. did you do anything to protect the front of the car against the highway grime and bugs. i have heard many home remedies like pam cooking spray, and things like that. I just want to keep that pretty orange paint as good looking as possible. Any info would be appreciated.

 

We have been pretty lucky so far this year with the brush fires, only another month or so of fire season left!
I too would love to know of anything to protect the front. I drive 108 miles round trip to work (mostly highway) and im starting to get the bug guts that don't want to come off when I wash it. I'm dreading love bug season.

 

 

I didn't treat the front or anything, but also haven't taken 'er to the car wash yet
