First Road Trip....
Hey, have a safe trip Tek! Going up hills, if it looks bad, keep your speed consistent, do not start out to slow and then try and accelerate and if you are going downhill, grab a lower gear so you do not have to brake..IMHO! Let us know how your trip was! And yes, SALT TRUCKS BAD! lol *sigh* Safe and Sane till you get there!

GA does not know what a salt truck is. When we have Ice Storms Dot puts out gravel on bridges for traction, talk about potential for messing up a nice car. Fornately, weather is usuallyy mild and no ice, can change and MTNS a little different. This week it has been mid 60's during the day, feels like spring already.

50's & 60's wow, it's like 80 here. So this wil be a big change for us. The cabin rentals told us that if they do get snow it's "dusty", but even that scares me! Just the word snow is hard to speak, I live in total sunshine, & sand.
Markie we should be around Atlanta in the mid afternoon, maybe you can take your lunch to drive around on the interstate so we can wave to each other, LOL.
I will post pics when we get home. I hope to see some HHR's on the road, they are starting to pop up around town now.
Thanks Fenris!

That is the first time I have heard of gravel being used on the roads for traction. Thanks for enlightening me! I am used to salt trucks living in the northeast my whole life. That kind of sucks, at least salt melts.
Teknobunie, I'll will be circling interstate looking for you, HA!!
Here is a good restaurant up in Blue Ridge, not right in town, but nice area and good food!!! Toccoa Riverside Restaurant, ASKA road area, may be close if you are staying in a cabin.
