Flashing Securtiy System Light--Will it Run Down Battery?

"The security light turns on to indicate that arming has been initiated. Once the system is armed, the security light flashes once every three seconds."

Does this light just continue to flash? I'm worried the battery will run down when in storage.

That security light draws a very minimal amount of amperage. Not a problem for a short term storage. If you are storing it for longer than 1 month, you should check into a battery tender for your car.

Capital answer ^^^^^^^^^.

I will add, it depends on the condition of your battery, as well.

Very true Snoopy. I just assumed since the OP's car was a 2011 that the battery was in good condition. BUT, as we know, the age of the battery is not always an accurate way to tell it's condition.

Not easily. The security system may relay through the light circuit. Disconnecting the bulb may disable the system or not let it arm. (not exactly sure on this)

Flashing Security System Light

Is the light SUPPOSED to continue flashing? It has been 12 hours and still flashing every 3 seconds.
