Fog lights…?

My 2011 HHR LT did not come with fog light. Question is,…would the wiring in harness be there to accommodate fog lights? And what kind of switch is OEM for them …(headlight switch…) ?

Why not look? It sometimes is, 2011 probably not.
The BCM needs to be programmed for a stock installation. The switch is a button on the waterfall. There is probably a relay and fuse in the under hood fuse box.
Look in the how-to library there are a few threads.

There’s no really easy answer, you can install fog lights, and a dashboard waterfall fog light switch, there are members who have done this, put in a relay and wired the lights. Most dealerships don’t have the equipment to add fog lights to a non fog light HHR . Peruse through those threads and see which install looks like it’s in your wheel house.
I didn’t have fog lights in Oldblue
I do have them in the BlackSwan, but never use them.

Understand. Just that we do a lot of driving in all kind of weather.

I have actually deliberated just installing the fog lights with no way to turn them on. I don’t have much use for them but they look better then the little black grilles.

I think, having installed fog lights, you really want them to turn on

That’s what I’m afraid of. Addiction. Right now I have two cars with fog lights and I don’t think I’ve ever tried them once. It never occurs to me.

Coincidentally, they’re both exactly the same part number. I think the projector fog lamps on my HHR SS are exactly the same as the projector fog lamps on my Buick Lacrosse.
