Found a New Company Making Billet Bow Ties for the HHR.
Factory emblems after one year has had moister underneath. Just looks terrible. Now the mounting bolts are so corroded, I don't know I can get them off with breaking them off. It is a shame that GM would produce a" LOW BID "product to show the world. I worked for 32 years for them and this is one of my most upsetting points to management when they went to WORLD WIDE PURCHASING . It was not about QUALITY but cost. LOW BID cost.
I agree on the low bid or poor design. The Bow Tie represent the company and if it looks like crap it reflects bad on the entire division.
But then again the emblem issues are not a product of any new purchasing issues as they have gone bad since the 60's. Faded, damaged and broken emblems have plagued Chevy for a long time.
