Front strut top hat

Front strut top hat



I am lowering my hhr with lowering springs the rear is done but the front isn’t I can’t get the nut from the front strut to come loose help/ ideas?

Yes a wrench or a pass thru socket and smaller socket similar to this, the strut nuts are 21 mm

we tried are tools won’t fit in the little dome thing that the nut is hiding in

I have used a 7/8 socket with vicegrips and an Allen wrench.

I would soak it in penetrating oil overnight

Since the bearing is plainly crap, why not get new shocks and a new mount and just build your pwn lowered strut?
