fun&games replacing our total 2009 hhr

first off let me thank all whom replied to my previous post. we decided we will do our upmost best to buy a new 2011 hhr. iam so envious of are good neighbors to the south for acess to dealer costs ,holdback s etc and 5%above dealer price. not so easy up here in the great white north.the best internet price i could obtain for a 2011HHR LS out the doorwith 13% hst tax included is$20,932.87. far cry from usa average of $17,465 no reds available but the odd arctic silver which i like so we will probably pop onthe above deal, i am expecting a couple of more offers to come in but don;t exspect them to be much better.the sad part of all of this is i could go across the river to port huron mi &buy for the above mentioned price .if any cdn buyers have had better results please post. i noticed that there are no posts regarding paid prices here,or am i going blind. the main reason on buying another HHR is icouldn;t stand to leave this web site,so many nice folks and latest info etc.
regards&later and will post what we bought as soon as it happens

Good luck!

If it wasn't for the pinheads in customs, I'd say just go get one in Port Urine and bring it back.....

In January, I bought my wife a new 2011 2LT which list for $26,100. After incentives, discounts, owner loyalty rebate, and $2099 GM card rebate we got it for $17,200. It took me about 4 hours to get that price but now I have a happy wife!!

$17,200 for a brand new 2011 2LT? I'd say there's a happy husband in the house too.

I would consider used, 2yrs old with 40000k looks and drives like new, still has some warranty, and costs $12000.
Also I have heard importing from the states costs as little as 400.

From: wallaceburg,
Talking update on best price yet as of mar5/11

well i have a guarenteed quote from a dealer in LONDON,ONT for out the door $19042.13. what i don't understand is we in canada are supposed to be part of the free trade agreement and these tariffs should have went yrs ago. also
$760 freight in usa versus $1425 here. we are getting seriously screwed here/ i am tempted to see if i can shave another $1000 off.just to see what happens. anyway thanks for all your responses. thats how we all learn &benefit. from the experience of others.
regards&later KEWATIN
