I went from a '05 F150 supercab with 2WD and a 4.6L. It averaged about 14 mpg during the summer and could drop to about 9-10 mpg during winter. With my HHR I averaged around 22-24 with stop and go short distance summer commuting, and dropped to about 17-18 during the winter. I'd say it was a good move with current gas prices. Now if I just had the time to get out and really enjoy driving it as much as I'd like to.

Having averaged 35mpg on several 600+ mile trips, and around 29.5-30mpg overall, I really can't complain. Replaced a Dodge pickup that would get around 11mpg in the winter...
