I know you don't have an aftermarket grill, but here is an idea of what it would look like. It doesn't quite follow the curve of the grill, and will need some modifying to get it to look right.



It would look best on the E&G grill..........

i am looking for a stock grille to try some things out. i like the big chrome grill more then the billet style grilles. they look too modern for me.
but i am not shure if i will put it over the bowtie to cover it, or near the hood end of the grill. have to photoshop a little bit.
i am waiting if my dealer can order me a stock grille. if not, i have to order in the US.

 

The script is a 1955 script like I have on my Hood. What you have on your dash is the hood script, hence it's large size as compared to my dash script. But no matter, it still looks great!!

i´ve sent them a mail and asked for the shipping costs to germany. some guys want the script too.

 

On the Volkswagens I used to own I would buy aspherical split mirrors for it
which were Euro parts.....
The outside 1/3 of the mirror was a blindspot mirror........so you didn't have to stick on the little blindspots.....
I thought it was a required in Europe to have asphericals.....
