getting smoothies need opinions/advice

hello all, this is my first post here. We have had the hhr for a year now, and i have a love hate relationship with it.

i have learned living in wisconsin this thing needed snow tires. so i have firestone winterforce snow tires on the stock rims, and a set of dunlop dz101's for summer time. the snow tires are now gong to be permenant on the stock rims and im going to get a set of smoohies for summer.

i have it narrowed down to a rally style/silver or the all chrome smooth. looking for anything anyone wants to tell me about experiences, buying, whatever.

its a 2006 lt daytona blue

thanks
mike

Welcome to the site

I have rally wheels on my 07 that I bought used. I like them and have no complaints so far. From what I here summit racing is the cheapest around.

Here is a good thread posted by one of our members.

I too have rallys and baby moons purchased through summitt. Wheel Vintiques is the choice of many.

Welcome to the sight.

If they are summer wheels either will serve you well. As you know wheels, especially chrome ones, dont fair well in the great white north.

I myself am not a huge fan of chrome wheels on most cars but there are exceptions.
really going to come down to what you like.

Have you tried one of the wheel visualizers to see what they look like on your car?

Thanks for the nod, Lucky! Welcome to the site Joe! now these WV rally's are the wheel of choice I don't see smoothies available any longer on the WV site, Summit Racing does and I'm sure others will also, you might fine used ones, I purchased mine from a member on this site, very nice condition powder coated red ( my signature rim color for last 10 to 15 years, I have found the hub centric rings to resolve a vibration I had.

Oldblue I was hoping you would join in on this one :thumb: you seem to have hub ring all figured out. Joe here is a picture of my rally wheels In the original silver power coat with trim rings and center caps
