Why hub centric rings?
I recently put a set of American Racing wheels on my 2006. I was told by the American Racing rep that these wheels were lug centric and the hub centric rings were not needed. I did find out that the wheels are very sensitive and must be torqued properly or you get a small vibration like a balance problem. I don't have any vibration now, but I think I would be more comfortable with the rings. I would be interested in the metal rings, not the plastic ones. Do you have the name of the company you bought yours from? Thanks.

I ordered mine from an ebay store http://stores.ebay.com/AC-CENTRE-ONLINE-PARTS-SUPPLY. I have not received them yet so I can not report on the quality of them.
fwiw: Even tho our hhr hub snouts are same size for rings, different wheel makers will likely have different size centering holes, & require appropriate sized hub centric rings..

Do you have a direct link to ths seller Oldblue? I developed a severe vibration from 55mph -65mph with my 20" wheels. I've replaced the tires and have had them re-balanced twice, but the problem never went away. I have since put the stock 5 spoke steelies but the vibration is still there just not as bad. It feels like it's coming from the rear of my hhr and I also noticed the vibration gets worse when my rear passenger tire is fille with anything more than 30psi. I'm wondering if the rings you installed will solve my problem. Thanks in advance for the direct link to the rings you purchased.
I had almost this identical problem and the hub centric spacers were the cure. My spacers are plastic, most likely either G10, FR4 or FR5. This stuff is as hard or harder than steel. When I got the spacers installed and it cured the problem I got a little flack from some members because some did not believe this would work. Actually I too was a little skeptical at first.

nrvous!.. if your stock rims are still shaking then it is a whole nuther issue, most likely a hub bearing, but you will need to check that out. as for the site connection I contacted them thru E-bay accentre2002, they shipped free and where very fast, I strongly suggest measure your ID of the rims, the hubs OD will be 65.1 MM.
08LaRam, I read your thread and saw the skepticism and agree that they work for my issue and your issue, and some people have been lucky the don't require them.
My main concern was stress on the studs to carry the whole load on just five little contact points instead of those five contact points and the larger contact point of the hub augmented by the centric rings
without hub rings.

Notice the space around the hub is not even, or centric
with hub rings, the wheel is centered on the hub. This resolved my issue, not more shake, on the stock steelies or the Wheel Vintiques Rally Rims.
