Giving 16 year old my car
Well, paid off the 07 I bought off the lot new and have given the car to my daughter. I wanted to keep the car and mod it out but with her driving now, seems like the logical choice. I will be driving the Harley exclusively until I can scrape up the coin for another car or convince my wife how much the new Mustang fits our needs...
Does anyone here think a stock 07 HHR is a bad choice for a 16 year old girl?

You'll probably answer that yourself....the first time she calls you at 9 at night when the car will not start.....or the steering wheel won't turn because a good citizen installed the jumper cables incorrectly, the first accident (God forbid) repair that is needed, when you pay the insurance (unless of course, you are still the PRINCIPAL driver ).
Actually, I think it is a good choice...as long as she is responsible.

I have had the car since new and haven't had any of the problems you mentioned so why would she? The car has 60K in mileage, but if it is proven to be a problem then i will surely sell it and buy her something else. The whole point is I believe the car to be reliable.

Then he totalled a cobalt.
He is 21 and has been driving a 1998 GM Sierra. No wrecks. No tickets. Lesson was learned.
Girls are better drivers so it may all be well.

My 15.5 year old has eyes for my SS, guess she likes blue. But I just happen to have this car just sitting here, it weighs 5600 lbs before 25galons of fuel. I'm thinking She will live through what ever happens in this.
